This Privacy Policy explains how Morph ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

Account information: When you register, we collect a username and a securely hashed password to create and manage your account.
Photos: When you use the Service to retouch photos, we process the photos you upload, including any personal data that may appear in them.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Usage data: We may collect limited technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, and basic interaction logs to improve the Service and troubleshoot issues.
Points and activity data: We track your points balance, sign-in history, and retouching activity within the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
Process and retouch the photos you upload;
Manage your account, points balance, and transaction history;
Respond to your requests and provide customer support;
Ensure the security and integrity of the Service;
Comply with applicable laws and regulations.

3. Third-Party AI Processing (Important)

To provide the core photo-retouching functionality, the photos you upload are transmitted to and processed by a third-party AI image-generation service operated by Beijing Volcano Engine Technology Co., Ltd. (Ark / Seedream, "Doubao Seedream"), located in the People's Republic of China.

By uploading a photo to the Service, you explicitly consent to:

1. Transmitting your photo to the third-party AI service for the purpose of applying retouching, enhancement, or style-transfer effects; and

2. The third-party AI service processing your photo for that purpose.

We do not use the third-party AI service to train its models with your personal photos, and we do not sell your photos to any third party.

3.1 AI-Generated Content Disclosure

The Service uses generative AI technology. All retouched, enhanced, or style-transformed images produced by the Service are generated or modified by artificial intelligence. Such AI-generated content is clearly labeled within the Service so you can always tell when AI has been used.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Photos: Photos are uploaded to our servers for processing and are stored only as long as necessary to deliver the requested results. Processed results are stored in your account history and can be deleted by you at any time.
Account data: Your account information and points history are retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 6).
Logs: Technical logs are retained for security and troubleshooting purposes for a limited period and are then deleted.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:

Third-party AI provider: As described in Section 3, to provide retouching functionality;
Service providers: With trusted vendors who help us operate the Service (e.g., cloud hosting), subject to confidentiality obligations;
Legal compliance: When required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public.

6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 Account Deletion

You may delete your account and all associated data (including your uploaded photos, processed results, and points history) at any time. Deletion can be initiated within the app from the account/settings page. When you request deletion, your personal data is removed from our systems within a reasonable time, except where retention is required by law.

6.2 Access and Correction

You can access and update your account information at any time through the app.

6.3 Withdrawal of Consent

You may stop using the Service at any time and uninstall the app. Withdrawal of consent for photo processing is effective by not uploading additional photos; previously processed results can be deleted as described in Section 6.1.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and restricted access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy at this URL and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
